At the Medicine Hat School of Performing Arts it is our goal to provide quality instruction in a positive environment. We believe it is important to develop the creative imaginations of our students, while maintaining a balance between discipline and fun.
We offer classes at both competitive and recreational levels in the disciplines of Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Modern/Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Lyrical and Hip Hop. Since our studio opened in 2008, our students and teachers have accomplished award winning successes. Some of these include, scholarships, 1st/2nd/3rd place standings, best choreography, most promising and adjudicators choice awards.
Our Musical Theatre students have also had great success at the Rotary Music Festival in both solo and group performances. Another proud moment was being chosen by the City of Medicine Hat to perform for the 2010 Olympic Torch Run.
Some of our students have also been selected to perform with such companies as The Moscow Ballet in their production of “Swan Lake”, Ballet Jorgen’s “Coppelia“, and Jeunesse Classique Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”.
Our studio is fully equipped with a large waiting room, dressing room, child entertainment area, three bathrooms and three dance studios with sprung dance floors, full length mirrors, a piano and Ballet barres.
We perform two shows a year, our “Christmas Extravaganza” for all our sessional mini-boppers and “Spring Fever,” our year end recital. All performances take place at the Esplanade, where students have a wonderful time showcasing their talents! At the Medicine Hat School of Performing Arts our main priority is our students! From helping them grow as dancers, to instilling confidence as individuals.  Their development is of the utmost importance.
To all our students – Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
